Serena Williams has turned to pal Kelly Rowland‘s new mums book to study up on pregnancy.
The former Destiny’s Child star co-wrote Whoa Baby! A Guide for New Moms Who Feel Overwhelmed and Freaked Out (and Wonder What the #*$& Just Happened) and released the guide earlier this year – and the tennis ace is a big fan.
“It’s just raw,” Serena, who is expecting her first child with fiance Alexis Ohanian, says. “It’s everything that no one wants to tell you. I highlight things in it. I study it. It’s been really, really, good for me.”
Serena Williams is also glad she signed on as a spokeswoman for mattress firm Tempur-Pedic before discovering she was pregnant – because she’s getting in a lot of sleep before baby arrives.
“Sleep, I hear, has been really awful for a lot of people, but for me it’s been amazing,” she says. “I watch tutorials of how others (pregnant women) have to set up the pillows, and I’m like, ‘Wow, I don’t have to do that at all’.”
