Rihanna In New Charity Merchandise Line
Rihanna has partnered with Donna Karan and officials at The New School’s Parsons School of Design to develop a new merchandise collection. The fashion-forward singer, who was one of the belles of the ball at the Met Gala on Monday night, is hoping the new collaboration will benefit her Clara Lionel Foundation, which she founded in 2012 to benefit impoverished communities worldwide.

The new collection will have a Haitian feel to it because Rihanna is sending Parsons School design students to the Design, Organization, Training Center in Port-au-Prince, Haiti this summer 2017 to work with local artists on the styles for the new venture.
Karan and designer Paula Coles founded the center as a creative meeting place for the Haitian artist community.
Meanwhile, Rihanna will be honored at the Parsons Benefit in New York City later this month. She will also reveal the winners of the Design Fellowship program, which sends three Parsons students to Haiti for six to eight weeks this summer.
