Kanye West Deletes Twitter And Instagram Accounts
Kanye West has mysteriously deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts. The rapper left fans scratching their heads on Friday when he erased his social media profiles for both his Twitter and Instagram pages. They currently don’t exist.
It’s an odd time to pull his presence online as he and his wife Kim Kardashian also launched their kids clothing line on Friday.
Kim used her Twitter account to announce the arrival of The Kids Supply collection on Thursday.
She wrote: “Our kids line http://TheKidsSupply.com drops tomorrow at 12 noon PST. TheKidsSupply has been what we’ve been working on for a long time. I’m so excited about this!”
Representatives for Kanye West, who had ranked in the top 50 on Twitter for the most-followed accounts – with over 27 million followers, have yet to comment on the rapper’s decision to quit social media.
It is not the first time Kanye West has purged his social media – in October 2012 he deleted all but one tweet, just leaving the message: “BE BACK SOON.”
The rapper also deleted his Twitter account before he released his Yeezus album in 2013.
He first joined Twitter in 2010 and Instagram in September last year.
