Shia Labeouf’s Man Down Sells Only One Ticket In U.K.
Shia LaBeouf’s new film Man Down has flopped at the U.K. box office, selling just one ticket. The small budget independent movie debuted at the Reel Cinema in Burnley, England on Friday and took in just $8.70, according to box office tracking website ComScore.
Largely torn apart by critics, the film was also released for on demand viewing simultaneously and will be available on home video next month.
In Man Down, LaBeouf portrays a U.S. Marine suffering from post traumatic stress disorder after serving in Afghanistan. Jai Courtney co-stars as his close friend and fellow soldier. Gary Oldman and Kate Mara also appear in the film.
The dramatic thriller reunites the 30-year-old with director Dito Montiel, who took charge of the actor’s 2006 movie A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints.
