The Real – GabiFresh’s Style Secrets Transcend Size – Watch It Above.

On Thursday, April 7th, plus-size fashion blogger GabiFresh, also known as Gabi Gregg, sounds off about the lack of contemporary wardrobe for young, trendy women size 14 and up and talks about filling that void.

The style star also explains how her fourth swimwear collection, ‘Swimsuits for All,’ encourages curvier women who are self-conscious about their bodies to make a splash in the two-piece pool!

Plus, the ladies make over ‘beauty virgins’ who’ve never had certain beauty treatments, and offer tips on when you should toss out certain common household items.

GabiFresh’s Style Secrets Transcend Size – Interview Transcript

Jeannie Mai: How do you think fashion has changed since you first started?

GabiFresh: Oh my God. Plus size fashion has changed so much.

Loni Love: Yes.

GabiFresh: I started blogging seven years ago…

Loni: You remember, it used to be just duvet covers with flowers.

GabiFresh: Oh, my God. It was horrible.

Loni: That’s it!

GabiFresh: Really, it was so matronly and for older women. I was a teenager when I started to love fashion and then was so disappointed with the options. So, to see how far we’ve come has been really amazing. Obviously, it’s still tough, even now for me to go into a mall and find something I love, but I do a lot of my shopping online and things are slowly, but surely, getting better.

Adrienne Bailon: That’s awesome!

[The Real audience claps.]

Jeannie: Kudos to all those fashion brands out there designing.

Adrienne: And kudos to you for designing.

[The Real audience claps.]

GabiFresh: Thank you.

Adrienne: You recently released your fourth swimsuit line. So, tell us about it.

GabiFresh: Um, so this is the fourth year I’ve collaborated with an “e-tailor” called “Swimsuits for All.”

Jeannie: That’s awesome!

GabiFresh: Thank you.

Jeannie: You look amazing.

GabiFresh: Thank you. That’s from my most recent collection.

Adrienne: Look at that! [Referring to the photo of GabiFresh in one of her swimsuits.]

[The Real audience claps.]

Gabifresh: Thank you.

Loni: Look at that one!

Adrienne: Stunning!

[The Real audience claps.]

GabiFresh: Thank you. And it’s been amazing because I really been passionate about it and swimwear options were kind of the last frontier. They were so matronly, a lot of skirted suits and for those of us who are more confident and who do want to show off our bodies, there were so few things out there for us so I’m so honored to have helped to start the movement to see plus size girls in bikinis.
