‘12 Years A Slave’ Actress Kelsey Scott Joins Cast of ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder From
Known for her dynamic role in 12 Years A Slave, Kelsey Scott joins the cast as a recurring guest star in the mid-season return of How To Get Away With Murder. In its sophomore season, this suspense-driven show focuses on a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defense professor, who become involved in a twisted murder plot that promises to change the course of their lives.
After a nearly three-month hiatus, following its mid-season finale, How To Get Away With Murder returned on February 11. Scott takes on the role of Rose (Wes’ mother) in a series of flashbacks from 10 years ago. Scott joins Academy-Award nominee Viola Davis (as Professor Annalise Keating), Billy Brown (as Nate), Alfred Enoch (as Wes), Jack Falahee (as Connor), Katie Findlay (as Rebecca), Aja Naomi King (as Michaela), Matt McGorry (as Asher), Karla Souza (as Laurel), Charlie Weber (as Frank) and Liza Weil(as Bonnie).
Scott began her career in Atlanta’s theatre scene, as a child. She made her foray into television as Robert Guillaume’s daughter on his self-titled ABC sitcom, The Robert Guillaume Show. The exponential growth of Kelsey’s credits includes a wide range of projects, such as Grey’s Anatomy, True Detective, House M.D., NCIS, Army Wives and The Young and the Restless.
Scott appeared opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor, as Anne Northup, in director Steve McQueen’s Academy Award winning 12 Years A Slave.
