Adele: Her Weight Loss Secrets
Adele’s trainer Pete Geracimo has revealed that the singer follows the Modified Strongman Workout to boost her metabolism for weight loss. He told Britain’s Heat magazine that he has been working on getting the 27-year-old in shape before her new tour kicks off in Belfast on 29 February. Pete, who is based in London, UK, said that Adele works with cable machines which help train her whole body.
“It’s one of the fastest and most efficient ways of getting results,” Pete said about his methods.
Her routine also combines a weights and circuits programme called the Modified Strongman Workout.
“It trains a wide cross section of muscle groups and it’s very effective in boosting your metabolism and fat burning,” he added.
Pete trained Adele in the months before she gave birth to her son Angelo in October 2012. It’s not just exercise that has seen Adele shed the pounds however. Her meals are supplied by the company Pure Package, with owner Jennifer Irvine revealing the singer is now focused on eliminating sugary tea, alcohol and processed foods from her diet.
“She’s eating a really clean diet, with lots of fruit and vegetables, plus lean protein and complex carbohydrates,” she added to Heat.
The star has also given up smoking and cut back on alcohol to enhance her weight loss.
