Kim Kardashian Baptises Daughter North West In Israel
The tiny 22-month-old, North West, who’s quickly becoming famous for her stylish wardrobe, is in the Middle East with her parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
The ceremony was held at Saint James Cathedral in Jerusalem, a 12th-century Armenian church, a tabloid confirms.
Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian, 30, who has been visiting Armenia with the trio this week, was named as North’s godmother. The priest acted as North’s godfather (this is a common practice when there isn’t one present).
The family’s trip to the Holy Land is being described as a private two-day visit.
Prior to the baptism ceremony, North was photographed in a long white gown and no shoes as Kim, wearing beige, held her daughter close.
Kanye, also wearing all white, was later spotted carrying North out of the church after the ceremony.
Although it was originally reported by numerous outlets that the famous family would be in the region for eight days, a rep for Kim said their trip wasn’t cut short. “They were there for the duration that was scheduled,” she said.
The Jerusalem Post reports the family will exit the country on Tuesday morning and head to Jordan.
